HERAT, Afghanistan, Jan 11 (NNN-ANA) – Seven persons were injured as a blast targeted a police car in Herat city, the provincial capital of west Afghanistan’s Herat province, yesterday, provincial police spokesperson, Abdullah Insaf, said.
“Seven persons have been confirmed injured, following a hand grenade attack that targeted a police car in Drwazi Khosh locality of Police District 2, in Herat city,” Insaf told reporters.
Police arrested one person on charge of involvement in the attack, the official said, without providing more details.
This was the second attack on vehicle in Afghanistan since Tuesday.
On Tuesday, three persons were killed and four others injured in an attack, and the Daesh outfit has claimed responsibility for the attack.– NNN-ANA
