JAKARTA, Dec 25 (NNN-ANTARA) – An explosion at a smelting furnace, in an industrial park in Morowali Regency of Indonesia’s Central Sulawesi province, occurred yesterday morning, killing 13 people and injuring dozens of others.
Rusmadi, head of the operation team of the Search and Rescue Office of Central Sulawesi Province, said over the phone, “The death toll has reached 13, and dozens of other injured are being treated in hospitals.”
Rusmadi said, the furnace that exploded was in a factory belonging to the PT Indonesia Tsingshan Stainless Steel (PT ITSS), in the industrial park.– NNN-ANTARA
