Havana to host 3rd Trade Convention Cuba 2024



HAVANA, Dec 18 (NNN-ACN) — The Ministry of Domestic Trade ( MINCIN by its Spanish acronym) invited organizations, entities, universities and economic actors to participate in the 3rd Trade Convention Cuba 2024, to be held July 8 to 12 at the Havana Convention Center and at the Pabexpo fairgrounds as a sub venue.

At the presentation of the event in the 1930 hall of the Hotel Nacional and before representatives of Cuban and foreign institutions, MINCIN executives explained that the event will deal with issues related to the sector’s integrality and development, and includes five theoretical events, a trade fair and expo-sales.

The convention’s slogan is “For a safe, fair and sustainable trade”, and includes the International Congress on Sustainable Trade, symposiums on Warehouse Logistics and Cosmetology, beauty and esthetics, and international workshops on Cooking and Cocktails.

Pabexpo will host a fair where products and services from the state and non-state sectors, joint ventures and foreign companies based in Cuba will be exhibited, in addition to culinary and canteen demonstrations and tastings, the Havanabel event (catwalks, makeup and hairdressing), and the expo-sale Mi tienda (My Store).

Betsy Diaz Velazquez, head of MINCIN, thanked the different companies and institutions for their interest in participating and stressed that this 3rd Convention is being held in a complex context, even with the outbreak of COVID-19 at international level, in which, thanks to its scientists and despite the tightening US blockade on Cuba proves, the creativity of human potential.

The meeting will be an excellent opportunity for national and foreign professionals and businessmen, linked to the trade of goods and services, to meet in a space for reflection and updating that allows them to align efforts, join forces, pose challenges and showcase the best practices where make commercial activity sustainable and profitable, the Cuban minister concluded. — NNN-ACN
