ISLAMABAD, Dec 8 (NNN-APP) – Pakistan’s Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), conducted multiple operations in different areas of the country, recovering over 400 kg of drugs and arresting seven suspects, the ANF said, yesterday.
During the anti-narcotics operations, the ANF recovered drugs, including opium, hashish, heroin, methamphetamine and others, the ANF said in a statement.
In two separate operations at the Allama Iqbal International Airport, in the eastern city of Lahore, the ANF recovered over two kg of narcotics, including methamphetamine and heroin, the ANF statement said, adding that, the narcotics were concealed in the trolley bags of two passengers travelling to Bahrain.
In the country’s south-west Balochistan province, 200 kg of hashish and 200 kg of opium were seized from a house in Mastung district of the province, said the statement.
Separately, at least three kg of heroin and 240 grams of methamphetamine were recovered from a parcel, booked for the United Kingdom at a courier office in the southern port city of Karachi, the ANF said.
Also, the ANF team conducted three separate raids in Karachi and recovered over 108 kg of hashish, while arresting three drug smugglers, the statement added.
The ANF said that, separate cases have been registered against the accused, while further investigations are under process.– NNN-APP
