MIA Distributes Wakalah Funds To Deserving Accountancy Students, Towards Strengthening Talent Pipeline

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 6 (Bernama) — The Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) recently collaborated with Pusat Pungutan Zakat – Majlis Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan (PPZ – MAIWP) to present financial aid to selected accountancy students from underprivileged backgrounds. The presentation ceremony to the ANAK-ANAK BAITULMAL MAIWP was attended by the Pusat Pungutan Zakat – Majlis Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan (PPZ – MAIWP) Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Operations), Encik Mohammed Hassan, Puan Rohayu Yusoff and Encik Mohamad Amzari Aziz, both Acting Chief Executive Officer of Kolej Profesional Baitulmal Kuala Lumpur.

“This is a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative by the MIA that is aligned with our sustainability agenda to champion talent development and social well-being, thereby advancing our overarching nation building purpose,” stated Dr. Wan Ahmad Rudirman Wan Razak, Chief Executive Officer, MIA in his welcome remarks at the aid presentation ceremony.
