MOSCOW, Dec 1 (NNN-PRENSA LATINA) — Russia and Cuba plan to connect the city of St. Petersburg with Cayo Coco every ten days by late December, Cuban Ambassador to Russia Julio Garmendia told reporters.
“In late December, Aeroflot plans to resume flights, run by Rossiya Airlines, between the capitals of both countries, in addition to one from St. Petersburg to Cayo Coco every ten days,” the diplomat said.
Garmendía pointed out that despite the logistical difficulties, Russian airlines and tour operators are attentive to continuing their operations in Cuba, where Russians are always welcome.
Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Transport informed that it plans to increase the number of weekly flights to Cuba to ten by late 2023.
In addition, Aeroflot General Director Sergei Alexandrovsky noted that direct flights from Moscow to Havana will be resumed in December, with departures operated by Rossiya Airlines twice a week. — NNN-PRENSA LATINA
