PUTRAJAYA, Nov 28 (Bernama) — Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA) Malaysia is committed to developing the nation’s sustainable energy (SE) industry, in line with the function and mandate given by the Government since its establishment in 2011.
In an interview with Selamat Pagi Malaysia on 27 November 2023, Chairman of SEDA Malaysia YBrs. Tuan Ahmad Zairin Ismail said that The Authority has been carrying out various SE programmes introduced by the Government for the past 12 years and will continue to do so. This includes clean energy generation from renewable energy (RE) resources programmes as well as energy usage and management programmes such as energy efficiency in buildings for industrial and commercial sectors. The programmes will ensure that the SE industry continues to progress further while meeting the country’s target to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050.
