ISLAMABAD, Nov 26 (NNN-APP) – At least seven people were killed and 18 others injured yesterday, in two different road accidents in Pakistan, officials said.
According to state-run rescue organisation, Rescue 1122, four passengers were killed and two others sustained injuries in the first incident, when a car collided with a trailer, on an expressway in the Fateh Jang area of Attock district, in eastern Punjab province.
The rescue personnel and highway patrolling police rushed to the site and shifted the bodies and injured to a nearby hospital.
The police said that, the over-speeding car hit the long vehicle from behind, after the driver lost control.
In another accident, three people lost their lives and 16 others sustained injuries, when a tourist-laden wagon, plunged into a deep gorge at the Peshmal Kalam area of Swat district, in the north-west Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, said Rescue 1122.– NNN-APP
