TIRIN KOT, Afghanistan, Nov 25 (NNN-ANA) – Afghan authorities started the construction of 15 health centres in south Afghanistan’s Uruzgan province, Mohammadullah Rouhani, head of the provincial public health department, said, yesterday.
Costing six million U.S. dollars, the construction project will provide health services to local people, who have no access to them, the official said.
Welcoming the step as vital for reviving local services, residents called for the establishment of different construction projects, for the well-being of the people of the region, he added.
As part of efforts to rebuild war-torn Afghanistan, the Afghan caretaker government, besides launching development projects, has also called upon domestic and international companies to invest and create job opportunities for poverty-stricken Afghans.– NNN-ANA
