LIMA, Nov 22 (NNN-ANDINA) — Peru has managed to strengthen its image abroad as investment destination given the clear rules it offers to businesspeople and investors, Pres Dina Boluarte said.
Boluarte led the presentation of the fifth administration report by the Executive Branch.
“We reaffirmed it at the Pacific Alliance forum, at the meetings of the Americas Partnership for Economic Prosperity (APEP), and at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum, at which we received clear signs of interest from businesspeople to invest in Peru,” she expressed.
The Head of State said she had met with leaders of world powers during her latest trip to the United States, which has enabled Peru to strengthen bilateral and cooperation relations.
On the other hand, the president indicated that the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation delivered more than 9,000 tons of supplementary food for livestock in nine regions hit by water deficit, while the Fondo Agropecuario (Farming Fund) served to provide 32,000 credits to the same number of farmers.
Concerning employment, she indicated that 48,000 temporary jobs were created through the Llamkasun Peru program in this two-month period, while in the same period 27 water and sanitation works were completed in 14 regions so as to benefit over 680,000 families in rural and urban areas.
Regarding the Energy and Mines sector, Boluarte said 19 mining concession, exploration, and exploitation projects were approved that will foster economic recovery and boost job creation.
“Compatriots, we present a report on progress as clear sign of the transparency that we always practice; we are aware that there is a long way to go and many needs to be solved, but we are not going to stop; this is my commitment,” she noted.
Prior to ending her speech, the top official affirmed that her administration has nothing to hide.On the contrary, Boluarte said she is the person most interested in everything being done well, without room for corruption that had caused so much damage to Peru. — NNN-ANDINA
