AMMAN, Jordan, May 12 (NNN-PETRA) – Jordan launched on Saturday, a national clean-up campaign, to preserve the environment.
The campaign included cleaning areas near tourist attractions and public parks. It also seeks to preserve the cleanness of public sites and facilities.
The campaign aims also, to encourage Jordanian youth to contribute to local communities and protect the environment.
During his participation in the campaign, Hussein bin Abdullah, Crown Prince of Jordan, highlighted the importance of voluntary work for the country.
The crown prince also emphasised the importance of supporting the tourism sector, by preserving the cleanness of the tourist and archaeological sites, as well as, forests and public parks.
The campaign will continue until the end of the year.– NNN-PETRA
