Lebanese Army Receives Military Aid From France

BEIRUT, Lebanon, May 12 (NNN-NNA) – The Lebanese army received, on Saturday, military equipment from the French authorities, at the port of Beirut.

According to report, the Lebanese army received armoured personnel carriers, labelled VAB Hot Mephisto, and boxes containing spare parts for the carriers.

Over a month ago, French Ambassador to Lebanon, Bruno Foucher, announced that France had opened a financing account of 400 million euros (449.4 million U.S. dollars), aimed at securing maritime and land defence equipment for Lebanon.– NNN-NNA
