14 Injured In S. Korea’s Hospital Fire

SEOUL, Nov 18 (NNN-YONHAP) – Fourteen people were injured today, in a hospital fire in south-eastern South Korea.

The fire broke out at around 8:10 a.m. local time (2310 GMT) yesterday, at a six-storey hospital in Gumi, some 200 km south-east of the capital, Seoul.

Fourteen out of about 90 evacuees, including patients, suffered minor injuries, such as, smoke inhalation.

The fire authorities conducted four search operations inside the hospital building, but no further casualty had been reported.

The fire was extinguished about an hour later.

Police and the fire authorities were investigating the exact cause of the incident.– NNN-YONHAP
