NAIROBI, Nov 13 (NNN-KBC) — Kenyan President William Ruto is expected to preside over the National Tree Planting Day at the Kiu Wetlands in Makindu, Makueni County.
The government hopes to plant at least 100 million seedlings during the exercise.

Each Cabinet Secretary will oversee the exercise in at least two counties assisted by local leaders.
In addition, National Government Administrative Officers (NGAOs) will be supporting the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Forestry in coordinating the exercise which is part of Kenya’s Landscape and Ecosystem Restoration Programme.
