Five Killed, Eight Injured In Bus-Car Collision In Punjab

ISLAMABAD, Nov 13 (NNN-APP) – At least five people were killed and eight others injured yesterday, in a collision between a bus and a car, in Faisalabad district of Pakistan’s eastern Punjab province, the rescue service reported.

The rescue service said that, the accident took place on Khurrianwala road, when a passenger bus hit a car that suddenly came from a link road.

Following the collision, the bus crossed the road divider, hit a tractor trolley on the other side of the road, and eventually hit a roadside hotel, resulting in the death of four people present in the car, and the bus driver on the spot, it added.

The rescuers reached the site after the accident and shifted five injured bus passengers to hospital, while three were given first aid, said the rescue service.

Reportedly, the ill-fated bus was going from Punjab’s provincial capital city of Lahore, to Kohistan district, in the country’s north-west Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.– NNN-APP
