Fire Left Two Dead In Philippine Capital

MANILA, Nov 9 (NNN-PNA) – A 69-year-old mother and her 42-year-old son died, in a nearly three-hour fire, that hit a residential area in the Philippine capital early today, the Philippines’ Bureau of Fire Protection official, said.

Fire Superintendent, Eduardo Loon, said, the fire broke out around 12:30 a.m. local time, and quickly spread. Firefighters declared the fire out around 3:00 a.m.

The fire gutted at least 20 houses, affecting around 40 families. The bodies of the two victims were found in the bathroom and the living room, he said.

An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire.– NNN-PNA
