TUNIS, Nov 8 (NNN-AGENCIES) — Tunisian security and military forces recaptured five prisoners who escaped from prison last week. 

The Tunisian Interior Ministry said they escaped prison while serving sentences for the crime of killing police and politicians. 

Four of them were arrested by the authorities in the mountains near the capital Tunis in the early morning of Nov 7, while the fifth escapee was arrested with the help of people in the Ettadamen area in Tunis.

Security sources described the escapees as “very dangerous terrorists”. Among them, Ahmed Malki, known by the nickname “Somali”, is serving a 24-year prison sentence for the assassination of politicians Chokri Belaid and Mohamed Brahmi in 2013.
