KUCHING, Nov 6 (Bernama) — The Sarawak Post-COVID-19 Development Strategy 2030 ¹(PCDS 2030) aims to achieve a skilled workforce of 30 per cent, all the while ensuring a sufficient pool of local talent. As Sarawak propels itself towards becoming a developed state by 2030, it is imperative to nurture a skilled workforce to reduce dependency on foreign labour in line with the burgeoning industrial growth.
In pursuit of this target, Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad (TalentCorp) together with the Sarawak Ministry of Education, Innovation, and Talent Development (MEITD), along with the Regional Corridor Development Authority (RECODA), are joining forces to bolster Sarawak’s efforts to cultivate local skilled workforce by 2030 through the Industry-Academia collaboration (IAC) initiative by TalentCorp.
