Nearly 1,000 Protesters Rally In Istanbul Against Blinken’s Planned Türkiye Visit

ISTANBUL, Nov 5 (NNN-XINHUA) – Nearly 1,000 demonstrators rallied yesterday, in Türkiye’s biggest city, Istanbul, in protest against U.S. Secretary of State, Antony Blinken’s planned visit to Türkiye, as the Israel-Hamas conflict escalates.

The protest comes on the eve of Blinken’s visit to the Turkish capital, Ankara, today, as part of a Middle East tour that includes trips to Jordan and Israel.

Türkiye has accused Israel of deadly attacks in the Gaza Strip, and recalled yesterday, its ambassador in Tel Aviv to Ankara, for consultations after Israel’s refusal to accept calls for a ceasefire.

In another pro-Palestinian rally in Istanbul, protesters urged the international community to stop Israel’s offensive.– NNN-XINHUA
