SINGAPORE, Nov 5 (NNN-ANDINA) — The Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Export and Tourism (PromPeru) was present at the 2023 edition of the ITB Asia Fair —the leading tourism fair in said region, specifically designed for the travel industry in Asia.
The event —which took place in Singapore on Oct 25-27— marked Peru’s return to this important platform after eight years, making it the only Latin American country present at the latest edition. Over 1,300 top-level tourism industry buyers attended the event.
PromPeru led the participation of six Peruvian tourism companies at the fair, resulting in a total of 344 successful business meetings with prominent companies, agents, and travel professionals.
Besides, the fair brought together international industry exhibitors, providing a great opportunity for doing business and staying updated on the latest trends.
Peru’s participation generated significant interest among Southeast-Asian markets, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand, among others, which show promising growth prospects in the tourism sector.
This effort is part of PromPeru’s international tourism promotion strategy aimed at positioning Peru as a single destination, thus encouraging potential travelers to increase their spending and length of stay, contributing to the sector’s economic recovery.
Peru offers a wide range of unique and authentic experiences, from its rich cultural heritage to its impressive biodiversity, and this participation is an important step in bringing these experiences to the growing Asian markets. — NNN-ANDINA
