Iran Condemns Deadly Israeli Airstrike On Refugee Camp In Central Gaza

TEHRAN, Nov 3 (NNN-IRNA) – Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman, Nasser Kanaani, yesterday, condemned Israel’s deadly airstrike on Bureij refugee camp, in the Gaza Strip, earlier in the day.

“The destruction of the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, as a result of the Israeli attacks, has well demonstrated the depth of the crime and killing,” Kanaani wrote in a post on X.

He noted that, many countries, governments and nations, called for a ceasefire in Gaza and an end to Israeli attacks on the “defenseless” people of Gaza, “except for the governments of the United States and a number of certain European states, that have always interfered in other countries’ internal affairs, while chanting fake slogans of ‘defending human rights.'”

Kanaani added, the United States and a few European countries “are sacrificing international peace and security, as well as, human rights for Israel’s interests.”

Authorities in Gaza said yesterday that, 15 people were killed in the Israeli airstrike on the Bureij refugee camp, earlier in the day.

The camp is home to about 46,000 Palestinian refugees, registered with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees.

Yesterday, Israel continued its strike on the Jabalia refugee camp, in northern Gaza, for the third day in a row, killing at least 29, the official Palestinian news agency, WAFA reported.

The conflict between Israel and Hamas has killed more than 9,000 Palestinians in Gaza, most of them women and children.– NNN-IRNA
