The drugs were seized in three separate operations this month, against international drug trafficking syndicates, deputy director-general of the customs department, Sazali Mohamad, revealed.
Sazali said, the largest seizure involved ecstasy pills with a gross weight of 269.75 kilograms, worth 19.8 million ringgit (4.14 million U.S. dollars).
He added that, the mode of smuggling was almost the same in all three cases: the drugs were smuggled in from Europe, via air freight into the final destination, Malaysia.– NNN-BERNAMA
