Aussie Police Seize 117 Kg Of Prohibited Drugs In Sydney

SYDNEY, Oct 28 (NNN-AAP) – Two men have been charged in the Australian state of New South Wales (NSW), following a seizure of 117 kg of prohibited drugs in Sydney, according to local authorities today.

NSW Police Force revealed in a statement that, detectives executed a search warrant in Pyrmont, an inner-city suburb of Sydney, at about 10:10 a.m. local time yesterday.

During the search, police located 61 kg of cocaine blocks, 29 kg of Ketamine and 27 kg of MDMA pills stored across seven suitcases. The total seized drugs have an estimated street value of 42 million Australian dollars (about 26.6 million U.S. dollars).

Two men, aged 24 and 31, were arrested at the scene and taken to a police station, where they were both charged with three counts of supplying prohibited drugs in large commercial quantities.

The offenders were refused bail and would appear before the court today.– NNN-AAP
