Seven Killed In House Fire In Mongolia’s Capital

ULAN BATOR, Oct 26 (NNN-XINHUA) – Seven people died in a fire, that occurred in a building early this morning in Mongolia’s capital, the country’s National Emergency Management Agency, said.

The fire broke out at around 3:50 a.m. local time (1950 GMT Wednesday), in Songinokhairkhan district of Ulan Bator, the emergency agency said.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway, it added.

As the cold season comes, the number of home fires has been increasing, because the households in the ger districts, light up fires to keep warm, the agency said.

The ger districts are located on hills and mountains surrounding Ulan Bator.
