JAKARTA, Oct 25 (NNN-ANTARA) – PT Neta Auto Indonesia (NAI), yesterday, officially launched the Chinese-made Neta V electric car, and announced its plan to build an assembly plant in the country next year, in cooperation with local company PT Handal Indonesia Motor.
Neta Indonesia’s Director of External Affairs and Product, Fajrul Ilhami, said, “Neta V would be sold in the Indonesian market with five different colour types. The price on the road is at 379 million rupiahs (23,930 U.S. dollars), including for all documentation and taxes. The price also comes with a five-year vehicle warranty, an eight-year battery warranty and free periodic maintenance for four years.
“We have received almost 170 booking letters, and the company will start shipping the Neta V to the dealers next month. The dealers will deliver the cars to the buyers.”
He also said, there would be 100 units available next month, as the first batch, while the second batch, in Dec, would provide 250 units.
Starting from the second quarter of next year, Ilhami said, Neta V is set to be locally assembled in Indonesia, in the form of completely knocked down (CKD), meaning, the products would be delivered in parts and assembled in Indonesia.
“Neta, as part of the automotive industry, is in line with the Indonesian government’s vision, to reduce carbon gas emissions, to make Indonesia an environmentally friendly country,” he said.– NNN-ANTARA
