DAMASCUS, Oct 23 (NNN-SANA) – Syria said, the Israeli regime launched missile attacks on the Damascus and Aleppo airports, yesterday, leaving one civilian worker at the Damascus airport dead and another severely injured.
The two airports halted operations due to the attacks’ “significant” damage to the runways, the Syrian Foreign Ministry said in a statement, last night.
“The aggression was a clear indicator of Israel’s desperation and failure,” the statement said, claiming that the attacks were another attempt by the Israeli regime, to undermine Syria’s resilience and its support for the Palestinian cause.
This is the second time this month that the Damascus airport came under Israeli strikes, and the third time for Aleppo airport, both of which had resumed operations after damages from earlier Israeli assaults had been repaired.– NNN-SANA
