134 Drug Offenders Nabbed In Singapore

SINGAPORE, Oct 22 (NNN-XINHUA) – Singapore’s Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB), arrested 134 suspected drug offenders, including two 14-year-olds, in an anti-drug operation from Oct 8 to Oct 20, according to a statement released by the bureau yesterday.

The CNB, in cooperation with the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority, seized about 1,296 grams of heroin, 373 grams of Ice and 9,605 grams of cannabis, among other drugs, in the operation, the statement said.

The seized drugs had an estimated value of about 606,000 Singapore dollars (441,700 U.S. dollars), the statement said.

Investigations into all the arrested suspects were ongoing, the CNB said.– NNN-XINHUA
