Third Largest Bangladeshi Operator Expands Mobile Network Coverage With 15,000 Towers

DHAKA, Oct 18 (NNN-BSS) – Bangladesh’s third-largest mobile operator, Banglalink, reached a milestone in its ongoing network expansion by taking its total number of towers to 15,000, across the country.

Over the last year-and-a-half, more than 4,700 of these towers have been activated, leading to a significant expansion of their fourth generation (4G) network coverage, the company said in a statement here, yesterday.

This expansion has resulted in a 66-percent data subscriber growth, a steadfast drive towards delivering the fastest 4G coverage in the country, it said.

Following a steady growth trajectory, Banglalink said, its customer base reached 42.85 million in Sept, this year.
