DAR ES SALAAM, Oct 16 (NNN-DAILYNEWS) — Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park has won the Africa’s Leading National Park 2023 award.
This becomes the fifth time in a row that Serengeti bags the prize since 2019 to date.
Expressing gratitude on their X account (twitter) to all those who participated in voting and enabled Serengeti to rise to the top again this year, Tanzania National Park (TANAPA) wrote: “With gratitude from the heart! Thanks to all who voted and made this win possible. Together, we celebrate Serengeti’s stunning five-time victory at the World Tourism Awards.”
According to the World Travel Awards website, other nominees for the Africa’s Leading National Park 2023 were the Central Kalahari Game Reserve (Botswana), Etosha National Park (Namibia), Kidepo Valley National Park (Uganda), Kruger National Park (SOUTH AFRICA) and Masai Mara National Reserve (Kenya).
Serengeti is home to the world’s largest populations of Wildebeest, Zebra, Cape Eland, Lion, Cheetah, Hyena and Gazelles. — NNN-DAILYNEWS
