ISLAMABAD, Oct 15 (NNN-APP) – Six labourers were killed in firing, by unknown gunmen, in Pakistan’s south-western Balochistan province in the wee hours of yesterday, police said.
The incident happened in Turbat district, where the gunmen attacked the compound of a contractor, who hired the labourers from the eastern Punjab province for work, the Turbat police said.
The labourers were sleeping in the compound, when the attack happened, and the attackers fled the scene after opening fire.
Two labourers also got injured in the attack and had been shifted to a nearby hospital.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
A heavy contingent of police reached the site following the attack, and cordoned off the area for investigations.– NNN-APP
