Peru’s President arrives in Italy, to meet with Pope Francis

ROME, Oct 14 (NNN-ANDINA) — Peruvian Pres Dina Boluarte arrived in the Italian city of Rome, after fulfilling a series of official activities in Germany.

As is known, the presidential airplane is scheduled to depart from this area for Tel Aviv, Israel, to make itself available to Peruvians who wish to return to their homeland.

Upon arrival in Rome, the Head of State was welcomed by the Representative of Peru before the Holy See, Ambassador Jorge Roman; Peruvian Ambassador to Italy, Eduardo Martinelli; and Apostolic Nuncio, Monsignor Francesco Canalini, a representative of His Holiness.

President Boluarte will be received by Pope Francis at the Vatican.

Likewise, she will hold a working meeting with representatives of the Peruvian Missions to the Holy See, Italy, and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).

Meanwhile, as part of her official visit to Germany, Pres Boluarte held a meeting with businesspeople interested in investing in Peru in the city of Berlin, after visiting the German city of Stuttgart.

They are interested in projects linked to the mining, transportation, and environmental infrastructure sectors.

The meeting was attended by senior executives of business guilds in Germany, according to information released by the Peruvian Presidential Office.

She then met with Germany’s Federal President, Frank-Walter Steinmeier before travelling to Rome, Italy. — NNN-ANDINA
