Blast At Mosque Caused Casualties In N. Afghanistan

PUL-E-KHUMRI, Afghanistan, Oct 14 (NNN-ANA) – A blast ripped through a mosque in Pul-e-Khumri, the provincial capital of north Afghanistan’s Baghlan province, yesterday, inflicting casualties, Provincial Director for Information and Culture, Asadullah Mustafa Hashimi, said.

The blast took place inside Imam Zaman mosque, when worshippers were offering their Jumaat (Friday) congregation, the official said, without providing more details.

However, hospital sources have confirmed that over a dozen injured persons have been taken to the civil hospital in Pul-e-Khumri.

The Police have yet to make comment.– NNN-ANA
