LIMA, Oct 8 (NNN-ANDINA) — The Congress of the Republic has made official the authorization for President Dina Boluarte to leave the national territory from Oct 11 to 15 to visit Germany, the Holy See, and Italy to fulfill various official activities.
This measure was officialized via Legislative Resolution No. 31892 published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on Saturday.
The authorization will allow the Peruvian Head of State to travel to the cities of Stuttgart and Berlin (Germany) to participate as guest of honor in the event called “Latin America Day,” organized by the German business association Lateinamerika Verein e.V. (LAV).
Similarly, the top official will hold bilateral meetings with the Federal President of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, and other authorities.
While in Vatican City State, the top official will meet with His Holiness Pope Francis and the Secretary of State of the Holy See.
In the Italian capital, Rome, the Peruvian president will hold a meeting with the Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Qu Dongyu.
The document also states that the Peruvian dignitary will remain in charge of the Presidential Office using digital technologies, which adopt digital security mechanisms and ensure the security of the means to be used, within the framework of current regulations.
This legislative resolution comes into force the day after its publication.
As is known, the request for authorization of the presidential trip by the Executive Branch was made pursuant to the provisions of subparagraph 9 of Article 102 of the Political Constitution of Peru and Article 8-A of the Law No. 29158 (Organic Law of the Executive Branch) introduced by virtue of Law No. 31810, regarding the entrusting of the presidential office and its management through digital technologies. — NNN-ANDINA
