Pakistan’s Anti-Narcotics Force Arrested Seven Drug Traffickers

ISLAMABAD, Sept 26 (NNN-APP) – Pakistan’s Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), arrested seven drug traffickers in various operations across the country, an ANF spokesperson said.

During the operations, the force seized over 115 kg of drugs, including hashish, opium and heroin, while impounding several vehicles that were being used for smuggling, the ANF said in a statement, yesterday.

A total of 64.8 kg of hashish was recovered from two vehicles in two operations in the suburbs of federal capital Islamabad, the ANF said, adding that, the drugs were concealed in the secret cavities of the vehicles, and four smugglers were arrested during the operations.

In another operation at Bacha Khan International Airport, in the north-western Peshawar city, the ANF recovered over 100 heroin-filled capsules from the possession of a passenger, travelling to Dubai, the statement said, adding that the passenger was netted.

Separately, the ANF recovered over 35 kg of narcotics in an operation in Sheikhupura district of the eastern Punjab province, and arrested two persons.

Meanwhile, 15 kg of narcotics was recovered in two operations in the north-west Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

Separate cases have been registered against the arrested persons, while further investigations were underway.– NNN-APP
