LIMA, Sept 23 (NNN-ANDINA) — During a ceremony marking the Armed Forces Day on Friday, Pres Dina Boluarte recognized the work that these institutions do across the country, noting that delinquency and crime will be pushed back if citizens cooperate with them.

She stressed that military institutions will support the Peruvian National Police (PNP) in this mission, acting within the parameters established by the Constitution.

“I am sure that together we will push back delinquency and crime, because these enemies of Peru will not defeat us,” she remarked during the ceremony.

Through this intervention, Boluarte said, the Government remains committed to improving the situation of military institutions, providing them with better equipment and training.

According to the dignitary, this is evidenced in the proposal to allocate S/8.6 million (about US$2.3 million) to the Armed Forces next year, which is expected to help them meet their objectives and goals.

Likewise, President Boluarte expressed her recognition of the work done by the Armed Forces to defend the country, democracy and institutions.

They have demonstrated a commitment and dedication that we Peruvians admire and appreciate,” she remarked.

In this sense, the top official stressed the importance of their work in areas such as response to emergencies like natural disasters, and their humanitarian missions in favor of the most disadvantaged sectors. — NNN-ANDINA
