BINTULU, Sept 22 (Bernama) — The Sarawak Integrated Sour Gas Evacuation System (SISGES) project officially kicks off on 21 September 2023 with the groundbreaking ceremony for the first phase development of its onshore gas plant in Bintulu.
The Premier of Sarawak, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Dr Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Abang Haji Openg officiated the event. Also present were Sarawak Minister of Food Industry, Commodity and Regional Development, Dato Sri Dr Stephen Rundi Utom; Sarawak Minister of Transport, Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin; PETRONAS Senior Vice President of Malaysia Petroleum Management (MPM), Mohamed Firouz Asnan; PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd’s Chief Executive Officer, Hasliza Othman; and Shell Malaysia Country Chair and Senior Vice President Upstream Malaysia, Siti Hurrairah Sulaiman.
