Bus Accident In Yangon Left At Least Four Dead, Four Injured

YANGON, Sept 19 (NNN-MNA) – At least four people died and four others were injured yesterday, in a bus accident in Hlaingthaya Township of Yangon Region, Myanmar, according to traffic police.

The incident occurred last night, when a speeding public bus rammed into a cyclist and then crashed into a power pole and roadside shops.

Two women and one man died at the scene, and another man was dead on arrival at the hospital, police said, adding that, four other people were injured.

“We don’t know if the death toll will increase or not among the injured,” an official from the rescue organisation in Hlaingthaya, said.

The injured were rushed to the Hlaingthaya Hospital and are receiving medical treatment.– NNN-MNA
