YANGON, Sept 15 (NNN-MNA) – Myanmar hosted the 20th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Air Chiefs Conference (20th AACC) here on Wednesday, according to the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services.
Air chiefs from Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, and Vietnam attended the 20th AACC, and air chiefs from the Philippines and Singapore joined the conference by sending video messages.
Themed “ASEAN Air Forces’ Cooperation for Sustainable Environment,” the conference focused on matters related to cooperation among the ASEAN Air Forces.
On the occasion, the chairmanship of the 21st AACC was handed over to Soeung Samnang, commander of the Royal Cambodian Air Force, who delivered the greeting.
Myanmar hosted the 11th AACC for the first time in 2014, and the 20th AACC for the second time.– NNN-MNA
