Panama: Two bodies recovered from helicopter crash

PANAMA CITY, Sept 13 (NNN-AGENCIES) — Authorities in Panama said Tuesday that the bodies of two crew members had been recovered after a helicopter crash in the mountains, but that a third person remained missing.

The helicopter from Panama’s National Aeronaval Service (SENAN) disappeared Sunday while headed on a relief mission to the Central American country’s Caribbean coast.

However due to the difficult terrain, it was not until Tuesday that special forces units arrived on the scene.

The deceased found Tuesday were the pilot and copilot, the SENAN agency said, adding that the search would continue until the third crew member was found. — NNN-AGENCIES
