ISLAMABAD, Sept 11 (NNN-APP) – Forty-three people were injured in a road accident in Pakistan’s north-west Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, today, rescue teams said.
The incident happened in Kohistan district, where a passenger bus skidded off the road, due to overspeeding, Sajid Ali Yousafzai, district emergency officer of state-run Rescue 1122 in the district, said.
He said, the bus was going to Islamabad from Pakistan’s northern Gilgit-Baltistan region, when it met with the accident.
The injured people were shifted to a nearby hospital, where several were in critical condition.
The injured included women and children, and the seriously injured passengers were shifted to a hospital with better facilities, in Abbottabad district, the rescue teams said.– NNN-APP
