Palestine To Send Rescuers To Morocco To Help With Earthquake Relief

RAMALLAH, Sept 10 (NNN-WAFA) – Palestine is preparing to send rescue teams to Morocco, to help with relief efforts, following a devastating earthquake that struck the country on Friday.

Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, expressed condolences to the families of the victims, saying, “Palestine is putting all its capabilities to support and help Morocco.”

Prime Minister, Mohammed Ishtaye, also offered his condolences, saying, “All of us are ready to provide our best to help our brothers in Morocco in rescuing the survivors.”

The Palestinian movements of Hamas and Islamic Jihad in Gaza, also sent their condolences and expressed their solidarity with Morocco.

The death toll from the strong earthquake that struck Morocco Friday night has risen to 1,037, said the country’s Interior Ministry, yesterday.

The earthquake has also injured at least 1,204 people, according to the latest update from the ministry.– NNN-WAFA
