NEW DELHI, Aug 30 (NNN-PTI) – The Indian government decided yesterday, to reduce the price of cooking gas (LPG) cylinder used in households, by 200 Indian rupees (around 2.42 U.S. dollars) per cylinder, Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Anurag Thakur, said.
The move was dedicated to the annual festival Raksha bandhan today, when sisters tie a thread (symbolising siblings love) on their brothers’ wrists.
Now, one cooking gas cylinder of 14.2 kg will be available in Delhi for 903 Indian rupees (around 11 U.S. dollars). The decision is likely to benefit more than 330 million consumers of domestic cooking gas.– NNN-PTI
