KANDAHAR, Aug 28 (NNN-ANA) – Afghan security forces, arrested two weapon smugglers, in south Afghanistan’s Kandahar province and seized arms and ammunition, said a statement of the provincial police yesterday.
In the operation, security personnel found three Kalashnikovs, mortar mines and many other munitions, the statement said.
Earlier on Saturday, security authorities seized arms and ammunition in Zabul province, including two Kalashnikovs, a pistol, thousands of bullets, and a few more pieces of military equipment.
The Afghan caretaker government has vowed to recover arms and ammunition from anyone living outside the security organs.– NNN-ANA
