KABUL, Aug 26 (NNN-ANA) – A total of 29 Afghan youths joined the national army, after receiving a three-week military training, said a statement by Afghanistan’s ministry of defence yesterday.
In a graduation ceremony, held on Thursday, all of the 29 received their certificates and vowed to serve the country in any circumstances, the statement added.
This is the second batch of Afghan youngsters that has joined Afghanistan’s national army over the past week.
The Afghan caretaker government plans to build a 200,000-people national army, said Qari Fasihuddin Fitrat, the country’s chief of staff of the armed forces.– NNN-ANA
