SEOUL, S Korea, May 4 (NNN-KCNA) – The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), fired an unidentified short-range missile, off its east coast Saturday morning, multiple local media reported, citing South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS).
The missile was launched eastward from the east coast city of Wonsan, at about 9:06 a.m. local time (0006 GMT).
Details on the missile were being analysed by the military authorities of South Korea and the United States, the JCS was quoted as saying.
It was the first missile launch by the DPRK in about 17 months, since the country test-fired Hwasong-15 intercontinental ballistic missile in Nov, 2017.– NNN-KCNA
