17 Injured After Minibus Overturned In Papua New Guinea

SYDNEY, Aug 13 (NNN-AAP) – A minibus, yesterday, overturned in Port Moresby, capital of Papua New Guinea, with 17 people suffering mild to serious injuries.

At about 9:02 a.m. local time, the St John Ambulance Operations Centre received a call to a motor vehicle accident, at Independence Boulevard, Waigani.

Upon arrival, the response units found that a public motor vehicle (PMV) had overturned. Paramedics treated 17 patients at the scene, who had mild to serious injuries.

Nine patients were later transported to Port Moresby General Hospital, with some of them in serious conditions.– NNN-AAP
