Myanmar Exported Over 58,000 Tonnes Of Rice, Broken Rice In July

YANGON, Aug 12 (NNN-MNA) – Myanmar exported 58,334 tonnes of rice and broken rice in July this year, according to data released by the Myanmar Rice Federation (MRF) yesterday.

The figure decreased from over 182,550 tonnes of rice and broken rice exported in July last year, the MRF’s data showed.

The exports of rice and broken rice in July this year included 21,762 tonnes of rice and 36,572 tonnes of broken rice.

The federation said, Myanmar has shipped 47,938 tonnes of the exported rice and broken rice via sea routes, and the rest via land border gates.

The country exported rice and broken rice to more than 20 countries, including the Philippines, Spain, Poland, China, Belgium and the Netherlands, last month.

Myanmar earned 853.472 million U.S. dollars from the export of more than 2.2 million tonnes of rice and broken rice in the 2022-23 fiscal year (Apr 2022-Mar 2023), showed the MRF data.– NNN-MNA
