KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 10 (NNN-BERNAMA) – Malaysia’s wholesale and retail trade sales rose 4.3 percent, year on year, to 138.5 billion ringgit (about 30.24 billion U.S. dollars) in June, official data showed yesterday.
The increase for wholesale and retail trade in the month was attributed to retail trade sub-sector, which rose 5.8 percent to 59.4 billion ringgit, the Department of Statistics Malaysia said, in a statement.
For month-on-month comparison, sales value of wholesale and retail trade in Malaysia inched up 0.3 percent. (1 ringgit equals 0.22 U.S. dollars)– NNN-BERNAMA
