MEXICO CITY, Aug 9 (NNN-PRENSA LATINA) — President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, denounced again the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States against Cuba and described it as a flagrant violation of human rights of the people.
In his morning press conference at the National Palace, he responded to a question on international politics, that his government does not accept the United States blockade on the island, nor similar sanctions from anyone.
No country, he said, has the right to block another, especially when it comes to the survival of millions of people, it is a medieval attitude.
Where is freedom? he wondered himself. I know it is a controversial issue, but we cannot accept that any country establishes itself as the judge of the world, the supreme government and imposes itself, affecting any other country, no matter how small.
We do not accept that from any country, from anyone, because we believe in the independence and sovereignty of the peoples, he concluded. — NNN-PRENSA LATINA
