Sri Lanka Temporarily Grounds All PT-6 Training Aircraft Following Plane Crash

COLOMBO, Aug 8 (NNN-XINHUA) – The Sri Lankan Air Force has temporarily grounded all PT-6 training aircraft, following yesterday’s accident that led to the deaths of two military personnel, the air force said, today.

The aircraft will be grounded, until the Board of Inquiry, appointed to investigate the crash, releases its report, said Dushan Wijesinghe, the air force spokesman.

The training aircraft crashed at Sri Lanka’s Air Force Academy in Trincomalee, the Eastern Province, yesterday morning.– NNN-XINHUA
